Finished!

Finally. =')
It fits perfectly now, and has a nice little lace bust-piece~ I left the sleeves in their original length however.

Oh, and yes, Lamia got a new hair-do. x3

Almost...

I've been sewing Lamia's dress all day long - yet it's still not finished...! >.< However, it still looks great, even if it's not ready...
So, it looks like this...
...and here it is on my dear Lamia~
I am pretty proud of the double-skirt part, it just looks like as I imagined! And the sleeves as well~ Even though they are a bit long, I will cut them a bit tomorrow...
...and to be honest, there's a lot to do with this dress tomorrow: it's too big, for example. ='D I made it a bit bigger than Lamia on purpose, because there is no zipper sewn in the dress. I wanted to solve the problem with shirring, but the dress is still bigger than I expected... (That's why Lamia holds his arms like this - otherwise the dress would just slip down. x'D) Aaaaand we have a major problem up here...
Yyyyyyep. That decolletage is a bit... well... bold. =') I have totally no idea how did I manage to sew it like this... ^^" So I'll need to find a solution for that too tomorrow... Still a lot to do, a lot to do...

Broken Sculptures

Unfortunately I couldn't finish Lamia's new dress yet, because I had other things to do... However, today, Kishi and I went on a little trip and took a looooot of photos of our dolls~ Actually, we originally wanted to go to the Budapest City Park and the Vajdahunyad Castle, but we took a short trip to a place where I wanted to take some pictures of Lamia really long ago. (Then of course we went back to the plan and went to the City Park, but I leave those pictures for the next post. =P)

So, here they are, Lamia and the broken sculptures.
These statues can be found in the Wagner Palace. Some time ago, Paloma Project started to develop in this building, and since then there are a lot of creative art and design shops along the arcades. But for now I found the sculptures way more interesting for taking photos. xD
Somehow they are dreadfully beautiful...
...Especially this one. The other statue's eyes are closed - but this one is constantly looking at the viewer.
Literally, from every angle. x'D (Kishi told me it looks like the angel statues in Doctor Who. =D)

Next time I will show you the other photos - we took maaaaaany! - but for now, that's all. I hope you like them as much as I do. =)

Work in progress

Hi there!

I finally got over my "I-dunwannado-anything" phase that made me unable to work on new clothes for the past few days, and I started to sew Lamia's new clothes for his birthday. =) It's a bit late now however, and I can clearly see the "Finally...!" expression on his face. ^^" But here are the results of today's work:
It's halfway done, I will put some more lace on the top of the bodice. But I'm pretty proud of the shape, I've never done something like this before. =D
And the lower part turned out just as I've imagined! x3 I was experimenting with a new method of cutting pieces, and I'm so glad it worked as I wanted!
Aaaaand this piece is about to be sewed under the lace-part. I hope it will end up good - and Lamia will like it... (He is a bit mad at me because I didn't buy him anything on his birthday, and I dared to come home with a violin for Gloria... ^^" A few days later I bought him a little mirror as an apology, but it didn't really satisfy him... So I promised to sew him four new dresses - one as the original present, one as an apology for being late, one as an apology for Gloria's violin and one for the fun. x'D)

Dance of the King Knight

I just realised by accident that one of the most listened Ali Project tracks on my playlist, King Knight, elaborates the beginning of Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights from Romeo and Juliet. It was surprising... =D

I hope you like Prokofiev and/or Ali Project as much as I do. =)

30 Day BJD Challenge - Day 30

30) Have you ever been to a doll meetup? Did you enjoy it/do you plan to go to one in the future?

Yepp, I've been to several doll meetups, and I've enjoyed aaaaaaall of them! x3

Actually, the last one was a few days ago, on the 20th of June. Our close circle of friends who are both into BJDs and lolita fashion held a little Birthday and Goodbye Party for one of us, and it was organised in a local Japanese restaurant called Komachi Bistro. It was great, we talked a lot and the food was delicious~

And, of course, we took a lot of pictures of our dolls - I show you a few if you don't mind. x3 First, Liani started to take photos of Lamia with her phone - and I really love the way she made him pose~
This one is my favourite somehow... x3
Then Kishi borrowed my phone and took some pictures of Gloria and Mark - he is Kishi's boy, and he is sooo adorable! * - * Even without his faceup! (And they look really cute together. x3)
She is Ame, Rin-chan's new YoSD girl~

And then I got back my phone and took some lovely pictures of Mark and Lamia~ (Probably Mark is not aware of the fact that Lamia is a boy, but who cares until they look sooo gorgeous together! * - *)
There, that's all. I hope you like them. =3

And it seems like we finished the 30 Day BJD Challenge~ Hurray~ x3

30 Day BJD Challenge - Day 29

29) Post a picture of your dolls exploring the outside world!

There you go!
Not only one, but three! =D Since I don't have outside pictures of Gloria, I thought I upload these photos. ^^ They were taken in April. At that time, there was a Sakura Matsuri in the Botanical Garden of Budapest so we decided to take our dolls for a trip there with my dear friend, Kishi.

I hope you like the photos. ^^
